What are the key ingredients for Purim? Tzedakah (or acts of social justice and charity), reading the megillah (the Purim story), wearing costumes, eating a festive meal, making (and eating!) hamantaschen, and giving food gifts (called mishloah manot) to our friends.
And it just so happens that these key ingredients can be fulfilled while adhering to COVID precautions. Masks! Dropping off mishloah manot at our friends house while keeping physically distant! And did we mention masks?
