Donate to the John Graham Shelter

The John Graham Shelter provides food, shelter, housing, and hope to homeless individuals and families from around Vermont. The John Graham Shelter is in desperate need of diapers (sizes 3-4 are best) and toilet paper. If you are able to drop either diapers or toilet paper off at the Havurah House, our Tikkun Olam Team will see to it that your donation finds its way to the shelter.

Upcoming Fundraiser & Silent Auction

Havurah will be having a fundraiser on Saturday, May 18, from 7:30-10:00.
This will be an adults-only event, with food, wine and a silent auction.

Auction Items
Examples of items donated in the past include hand-knit hats, homemade cards, maple syrup, art, food, a nordic track machine, glass negatives, jewelry…  Also professional and non-professional services such as — a child’s camp physical, massage, gift certificates, a math tutorial, dog walking… And my favorite — quirky personal services such as  home-baked challah once a month for a year, pizza and a movie delivered to your door, a pool party, a mountain picnic, storytelling for your children, a ride in a Model A Ford, and much, much more.  So don’t be shy, let your imagination wander, and email or call me with any ideas or questions.  When you can (and for those of you who haven’t already) please email me a full description of the items and/or services you’re offering, with a dollar value.  If you want to include a starting bid, that’s fine.
Food
We also need dessert and appetizers that can be cut into bite-sized portions.  If you are unable to attend the event, you can still donate something that can be frozen in advance.  All the food at the fund raiser will be supplied by us, so please commit to something if you can.  Contact me with specifics at LLondon444@myfairpoint.net or 382-9494.
There will be more information about the night as we get closer to the date.
This is an important event for Havurah, so please be generous where you can.  It will also be fun to have a night to get together, eat, schmooze and bid.
